Eyes & Ears

We've had a pretty easy going week so far in the Burgess househould. With two minor roadblocks. We got a call on Monday from Landon's daycare letting us know that they thought he had pink eye. Turns out, those women at school know their stuff and were right. Unfortunately. Fortunately though, we caught it early and with the help of eye drops twice a day Landon is much better. Accept for his ear that is. Turns out, Landon (who hadn't been sleeping well) also had a minor ear infection. So along with the eye drops, our poor boy was also taking an antibiotic for the ear infection. Again, after a few days of treatment, he's doing much better.

He's into his usual mischief and climbing all over the place! He really likes spending time in the backyard after we get home from school/work. Landon and I get home, change out of our work/school clothes and then I ask him, "Landon, do you want to go and play outside?" He (along with the dogs) immediately book it to the sliding glass door leading to the jungle outside. Well, it's not a jungle at all, but is full of new fascinating things that are just waiting to be discovered! It's so hard to capture a picture of him looking at the camera because he is so focused on the world around him. He loves to pick up these little "pokey ball pods" (like my technical term?) and carry them around or throw them into the big fire pit. Or just hold them and study them to try and figure out what they are. I think he really likes them though because they are "balls" which is his new favorite word and toy.

Other then that, we are just trucking through the week hoping the weekend is here soon. We have plans to go bowling with our friends Misty and Aaron. Hopefully we'll get some fun pictures of that expidition. We'll see what Landon thinks about those balls!
