A whole weekend has come and gone and we didn’t even get a blog up. Wow, we must be slacking! In our defense, it was a gorgeous weekend weather wise and we made the most of it. Saturday afternoon we spent hanging out with our friends KC and John and their son Nicholas who is a few months older then Landon. The boys played together while the adults enjoyed some quality time together with our cheese, crackers and wine. Good times were had by all! We even walked to the park with the boys and let them loose. The park was great as it had a “toddlers” section and a section made specifically for older kids. The boys were able to play to their hearts content with out being trampled by the bigger kids. Landon also got his first taste of the slide! He loved it and giggled the whole way down. He even got to go down the “kiddy version” alone and seemed to love that too.
On Sunday we didn't do a whole lot. We hung out at the house, ran a few errands and just enjoyed the beautiful weather we had by taking the dogs for a nice long walk and then hanging out on the back patio with
wine (me), beer (Dustin) and a sippy of ice cold milk (Landon). We let Landon take a few of his toys outside and ride along on the patio. It was only a matter of seconds after this photo was taken that Landon backed the truck off the ledge! He didn't hurt himself and really only got a little scare, before he was wiping away tears and back on the truck again. What a boy.
As for "new things" Landon has also learned few new tricks. You know the song “If you’re happy and you know it”? Well, the 3rd verse says, “If you’re happy and you know it shout Hooray!” Landon can now say Hooray and he really gets into it too. Of course, it comes out sounding a little more like “HoorEEE” but he definitely is trying! It’s pretty funny. We’re trying to get a video of it, but haven’t gotten a good one yet. We’ll see what we can come up with!
Another new fun thing that just happened this morning…Landon can blow kisses! It’s pretty darn cute! This morning while I was leaving for work and Dustin was still getting Landon dressed, I said good bye and blew him a kiss. Landon immediately returned the favor with a “right back at ya” attitude. I love all the new things he’s learning. They seem to multiply every day!

We are also in the process of turning our guest room into a play room. We currently have a california size king bed in the room and it takes up way too much space. That along with the 100's of toys Landon has accumulated, we were starting to go a little crazy. So we're getting rid of the bed (don't worry out of towners, we'll have something smaller to accomodate!) and bought some new shelves to house the ever increasing load of new books and toys Landon seems to be getting. Hopefully it turns out as nice as I'm picturing and cuts down on the clutter in our house. As you can see here, we're still a work in progress and right now it's just an empty room. Landon seems to enjoy the extra space though!
That's about it for now. Hope everyone has a great week. Check back soon! We really do have good intentions of blogging more often, but sometimes life gets in the way
