News and Notes

It's Thursday, and you know what that means...1 day away from the weekend, and much more important (in my opinion)...it's the beginning of the NFL football season! Woo hoo! Tonight is the first game of the season, and I think Landon is just as excited as I am...well, maybe not...but he sure gets excited about something! It's possible that it could be his giggle pills, or the toy he's playing with, or a wall...but I'm going to continue to believe that he's happy about football.

As you can see by the picture, we recently introduced a ball into Landon's ever-expanding collection of toys, and he loved it! We're giving a shout out to Landon's Auntie Tess here, as she is a NAU (that's Northern Arizona University) alumni...I think she gave him this ball at some point, and he's finally old enough to hold on to it. We think that he's going to end up being pretty tall, so if he would rather play basketball, baseball or especially golf over football (at the pro level of course), then that's fine with us! In the meantime, we're going to try to expose him to every sport that we know...and yes, that includes ping pong, bocci ball, horse shoes, and maybe even darts (obviously this one will be several years down the road)... :)

As for this week, probably the only "big" news for Landon so far has been that he has found a new favorite food. He absolutely LOVES squashed bananas...the kid just can't get enough of them...

We did have some other "big" news, but it wasn't related to our baby. One of Michaela's best friends in the world, Ramsey, and her husband Blaine had their first child on Tuesday evening. Grayson Scott Morris was born on September 2nd, 2008 and weighed in at 5 lbs, 13 oz...and he was 4 whole weeks early! Needless to say, we couldn't be happier for the new parents and we are very thankful that everyone came through it safe and sound. We cannot wait to get Landon together with his new "cousin" Grayson...Michaela's other best friend Becca is pregnant right now, so now we're wondering if we'll end up with 3 boys, or 2 boys and 1 girl for them to fight over...ha ha ha!

Ok, I'm sorry for this being such a short post, but we've got to head off to work. Have a great day!
