Today is the first Sunday of football season, and I couldn't be more pumped up! We've got our Dallas Cowboy jersey's on, and we're ready to rock and roll.
Yesterday was a busy day...My Dad came over and helped us "finish off" our baseboards. We had some (for lack of a better word) "rough" areas around our doorframes where the baseboards and the floor didn't quite meet...that's the price we pay for being amateurs....anyhow, my Dad came over and helped me fix them up...now they look professional...what a difference it makes!
This morning we woke up to Landon talking away like he was on the phone....he also started saying "DADA" today! Obviously at this point DADA does not really have anything to do with me, it's just a word...but hopefully he'll soon realize that I am DADA...check out the video below to see Landon practicing his first word...sorry about the beginning of the video, it's kind of all over the place, but then gets focused and you can see Landon gabbing away.
Today we don't really have much planned. My Dad has come over to watch some football...we'll probably spend a ton of time saying "DADA", and we'll try to rest up for the coming week.
Since we spent so much time on previous posts discussing our house, I feel obliged to comment on it now. After all the hours (and dollars) that we spent getting our house ready to put up on the market, we have decided to sit on it for the time being. We've discussed our options with several people, and come to the realization that we really don't have any options...the market is in horrible shape and it doesn't make any sense (financially) for us to try to sell it right now. We do want to thank all of you that have helped us throughout the few years that we have lived here...at least we have made a house that is comfortable and nice, and we can spend some time here in relative ease...the house really is night and day from when we moved in 3 years ago, and we'll be able to enjoy the "fruits of our labor" for a little while at least.
I think that about covers it for today...we'll try to keep up with the posts, they may be shorter, but hopefully a little more frequent...
