Happy Wednesday to you!
First off, let me apologize for not putting up a post that chronicled our fantasy football draft on Saturday, as I had originally promised. We actually had such a good time that we totally forgot to take pictures! Needless to say, it was a very fun time, and we had quite a few family and friends come by….we even had a surprise when “Uncle Adam”, his girlfriend Stacy, and their new pooch Midori knocked on the door, as we weren’t expecting them….all in all, it was a lot of fun, we drafted a great team, and Landon has now been introduced to the wonderful world of fantasy football.
I hope the week is moving along at a nice pace for you. Our week has been pretty busy so far, and that added on to the fact that our camera is broken has really hurt the number of posts I’ve been able to put up…
Luckily, we still have my Mom’s camera, so we’re going to use it for a few more pictures before they get wise and come take it back.
Landon has had an interesting few days…we started him on squash this week, and he liked it about as much as everything else…he’s just a good little eater. Unfortunately the new diet is causing him to be a little “backed up”, so we’ve been watching his diapers like hawks lately…I would have never thought that I’d be praying he went #2 when I opened my son’s diaper…but there you have it…just another thing that they don’t tell you about before you have a kid.
He’s also still very congested…this is like the 5th week in a row where he’s had sinus trouble, and we’re still pretty concerned. We seem to be constantly bombarding the doctor with questions, but he doesn’t seem too fussed about it. Apparently that babies who are new to daycare, or are teething, or growing, or just being a baby…congestion is part of it….well, since we can’t give him anything to help him feel better, we are feeling pretty useless right now….all we can do is keep feeding him and listening to his lungs to make sure that the congestion doesn’t get in there….to sum up…we can’t do much.
Even though he has been congested, he really hasn’t let that slow him down too much. During the day, he’s still happy as a clam. We’ve actually been giving him some teething tablets lately, which are a homeopathic (non-drug) pill that helps relieve the stress of teething. Well, Michaela and I have renamed these things the “giggle pills”, because as soon as we pop them into his mouth, Landon starts giggling like a nut….he actually sounds like that old television show “Beavis and Butthead”, as he just sits there and goes “HUH, HUH, HUH…HUH, HUH, HUH”….it’s pretty comical…in fact, I told Michaela that they seem to be pretty fun and that maybe I should try them! …just kidding.
Other than that, the only other thing that we’ve noticed lately is that he seems to be sleeping a lot more than normal (during the day)…we’re not sure if it’s his body’s way of fighting off his cold, or if he’s going through a growth spurt or something, but he’s been zonked out quite a lot….if he’s hitting another growth spurt we’re going to have to start putting him in my clothes, as he won’t fit into the kid stuff much longer!

Michaela thought that we had to get a picture of him chewing on his feet...it's his "new thing".....he typically does this when he's getting changed in the morning or right before he falls asleep...I can't believe that human beings can be so flexible, but to him, it's just something else to get in his mouth...
As for this weekend…it’s a 3-day weekend!!! WOO HOO!!!! We have been going what seems like a mile a minute for the past few months, so we’re hoping to maintain a very low profile this weekend. We’re going to be putting sod down (it’s about time), finishing up some paint work on the interior, and probably continue to get the house ready to sell…for those of you that are wondering, I’m hoping to have the house on the market within the next couple of weeks….we’ll see how it goes.
We hope that the rest of your week is good, and that you have an awesome holiday weekend…be safe, and check back soon!
