Gone Fishin' for the 4th of July

For starters, we got a nice visit from Uncle Adam yesterday, so here's a picture of that...Landon was right at home with him after a few minutes...while we don't get to see as much of him as we'd like, it's always nice to hang with him.

As for us, the Burgess clan is headed South for some Surf 'n Turf....in this case the Surf is Sea World and the Turf is most likely the copius amounts of sand that we'll be finding in Landon's diapers after our trips to the beach!

That's right...we're leaving town at the crack of dawn tomorrow (well, in this case a few hours before that) to make the drive down to Southern California. We'll be stopping off for a few days to spend some time with my Aunt Robin, Uncle Gordon, and cousin Brandon in Pismo Beach...then it's on to San Diego for a few days of beach time and Sea World...and I'm hoping to get some fish tacos as well.

After that, we're heading to Laguna Beach for the first ever McBurgorris family vacation, which is what we're calling it when our family gets together with Michaela's two best friends Ramsey and Becca and their families...it should be good times and we've really been looking forward to it.

But don't you worry if you think that our dogs Guinness and Jack will be left alone the whole week...my sister Nicole is gracious enough to keep them company.

We're planning to take as many pictures as our memory cards will hold, so make sure you check back in with us sometime next weekend.

In the meantime, we hope you have a safe and rockin' Fourth of July...and remember, booze and fireworks don't mix...if you spill a beer on a flame, it goes out...so keep the beer in one hand and the sparkler in the other!
